MALAYSIA AIRLINES OFFERS UP TO 70% DISCOUNT AT TRAVEL FAIR.

For a limited period of three days, Malaysians will be able to pick up great travel offers from Malaysia Airlines at its once-a-year Travel Fair.

The Malaysia Travel Fair (MATF), the country's renowned premier consumer travel event, is back again this year with its value-for-money air travel deals from 22-24 February 2008.

During this exciting 3-day event, which will be held at 8 locations nationwide, travelers will be able to take advantage of great bargains with discounts of up to 70% on its international and domestic routes.

Commercial Director, Dato Rashid Khan said: "Due to popular demand, we have decided to hold this year's event as a dual fair - physical and virtual. The physical fairs this year will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) in Kuala Lumpur, Penang International Sports Arena in Penang, Trengganu Trade Centre in Kuala Trengganu, Persada Johor International Convention Centre in Johor Bahru, Sutera Harbour Resort Kota Kinabalu, Permata Exhibition Centre in Kuching, Wisma Sanyan in Sibu and Mega Hotel in Miri.

"Response has always been overwhelming as customers know that our Travel Fairs provide the best deals. We have over 6 million seats on offer and we expect them to be snapped up almost immediately as this year, customers can purchase our tickets from a variety of outlets. Value-for-money Malaysia Airlines Golden Holidays travel packages to domestic and international destinations are also on offer.

For the first time, Malaysia Airlines' subsidiaries Firefly and MASwings are also participating in this travel fair.

Firefly, currently operating from Subang and Penang, is offering up to 150,000 free seats (excluding taxes & surcharges) to all its destinations. These will be available on site at the Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Terengganu MATF locations.

MASwings is promoting special deals for travel on its network covering 21 destinations in East Malaysia. It is offering up to 50% discount of the normal fares for purchase of its Borneo Pass 5 and Borneo Pass 7, where travelers can choose to travel to any five or seven sectors. A further 10% discount will be offered for all tickets purchased online through http://www.maswings.com.my/.

Malaysia Airlines will be offering special Golden Holiday packages at the physical fair venues, including attractively priced domestic packages to support the continuation of the Visit Malaysia Year in 2008. Its airfares will also be exclusively marketed at these sites through all participating travel agents.

In addition, Malaysia Airlines is offering a 'Buy 1 Get 1 Free' promotion on Business Class seats for routes to ASEAN cities as well as to Xiamen, Kunming and Macau.

Special deals are also in store for customers in Sabah and Sarawak, where Malaysia Airlines will be offering attractive fares for its international flights from Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.

To enable customers to accumulate their flying miles and enjoy a wide diversity of travel benefits, Enrich, Malaysia Airlines loyalty and frequent flyer programme, will also be offering a special promotion. Every customer who signs up with Enrich will automatically be awarded 500 Enrich Miles. Students who enroll as members of Grads, the student travel frequent flyer programme, will be given a 20% discount of the annual membership fee.
