25 January 2008, By Sepang International Circuit
The 2008 Formula One Roadshow kicked off at Mahkota Parade in Melaka today and motor racings actually can literally get a taste of the Grand Prix experience.
Roadshow promoters Sepang International Circuit (SIC) and Petronas has set up a GP Café to allow fans experience the warm hospitality services usually offered at the VIP paddock during F1 races as among the attractions at the three-day roadshow.
Offering a wide array of food and beverage, fans can indulge themselves in a cup of latte or a sensuous kebab at the café or opt to test their skills at the F1 simulators at the roadshow.
"This GP Café is some of the new additions to our F1 roadshow this year. We decided on something new this year in conjunction with the 10th edition of the Formula One Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix.
Of course, there will also be plenty of fun and games, quizzes; goodies and prizes to be won at the roadshow apart from lots of information for the fans. So, I hope to see all the F1 fans in Melaka this weekend," says Azlan Akil, who is SIC Advertising and Promotions Manager.
"Purchases of tickets at the roadshow would also entitled buyers with free gifts - limited edition 2008 PMGP caps and T-shirts," Azlan added.
Slotted as Round 2 of the 2008 Formula One World Championship, the 2008 Formula One Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix will be held at Sepang F1 Circuit from March 21 to 23.
